The situation prior to choosing Testing Service
As the ExFlow grew over the years, SignUp Software knew they needed to hire a testing manager who could define their testing process and keep track of the resources used for testing. “We noticed that we need about 400 hours from our delivery team in performing ExFlow testing with every release. It made us realize that if we want to do the testing ourselves, from quality perspective we will need to stop our customer implementations,” explains P. Skoogh. This realization led SignUp Software to start looking at options to increase their testing resources, which eventually lead them to working with the Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management team at Companial.
One of the options that SignUp Software tried was recruiting new people specifically for the testing position. However, according to P. Skoogh, “that’s very difficult as there are not a lot of people who want to work only with testing, especially in Sweden“. As they were not able to recruit the talent they needed, SignUp Software decided instead to fill the gap with other outsourcing partners they’d been working on Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management development projects with. However, this turned out not to be a viable solution.
“I had a chat with one of my colleagues who has a very good relationship with Companial in regard to the upgrades and packaging that was done for them. We agreed first to work on a trial basis to evaluate and then we were so happy that we went on with the full agreement, ” says P. Skoogh.
