During the Directions Asia 2023 Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 26-28 April, Companial had the privilege of being represented by Rimvydas Saulis, Head of Cloud Business Line; and Ugne Kukliauskaite, Regional Lead for RoW. It was a great opportunity to meet existing and potential partners in the APAC region and as well to deliver a compelling presentation on how to grow and accelerate recurring Business Central revenues. The expertise and insights of the Companial representatives were well-received by the audience, contributing to the overall success of participating in this great occasion.
Key findings and insights from the Conference:
- Migrations: One of the primary focuses of the Directions Asia 2023 Conference was on successful migrations to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Experts emphasized the importance of a well-planned and seamless migration process, ensuring minimal disruption and maximizing the benefits of the platform. Want to know more? - Artificial Intelligence (AI): The integration of AI technologies within Business Central, including features like Copilot and Bing integration, was a major highlight. The conference explored how AI can enhance decision-making processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enable businesses to derive meaningful insights from their data. You can find more insights from Companial experts on this topic here.
- Partnerships: The significance of partnerships in the context of Business Central was emphasized throughout the conference. Collaborations with third-party providers and independent software vendors were discussed as a means to expand functionality, expertise, industry-specific solutions, and customization options for Business Central users. The Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem is obviously at the center of strategic customer decisions and investments. The technology stack relevant to Dynamics Partners is not only an ERP piece, but also vastly enriched with Cloud offering, AI, modern workplace solutions and many more. For the typical mid-size Dynamics Partner, it is difficult to be an expert in all areas, thus P2P partnerships are absolutely vital. Read more here.
- Business Central Product Updates and Roadmap: The conference provided updates on the latest features and enhancements in Dynamics 365 Business Central. Attendees gained insights into the roadmap for future developments, enabling them to stay ahead of the curve and leverage the full potential of the platform. It is very important to plan future upgrades according to the newly announced “stepping-stone” versions of BC. BC25 will be the last version to make an upgrade directly from BC14. Therefore, to upgrade from BC14-24 to BC26 customers will have to upgrade firstly to BC25, and only then BC26. Want to know more? Check out the Upgrade analyzer.
- ISO and GDPR Compliance: The importance of ISO and GDPR compliance in the context of Business Central was highlighted. The conference addressed the need for businesses to ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance when using the platform.
- SMB and Enterprise Tracks: The conference catered to both small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) and enterprise customers. Separate tracks were designed to address the unique challenges, requirements, and opportunities faced by each segment, providing valuable insights and solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Industry-Specific Solutions: The importance of industry-specific solutions within Business Central was discussed, enabling organizations to tailor the platform to meet their unique requirements. Industry-specific add-ons and extensions were showcased, highlighting the flexibility and versatility of Business Central.
- Microsoft’s trust in Indirect CSP providers: It is obvious that Microsoft continues to move most SMB-Partner relationships and queries to CSP indirect providers. Therefore, it is crucial for Dynamics Partners to cooperate with Indirect CSPs.
